Staying at the Rose was a mixed experience, highlighting the balance between luxury and value. The location was stunning, providing a perfect base for exploring the picturesque Sussex countryside. The accommodation was well-equipped, clean, and featured new appliances, which was comforting after a long drive. The promises of a restful night were somewhat undermined by a broken bed, compelling us to roll towards the center. This aspect definitely detracted from the luxurious feel one might expect, leading to a rather restless night. Our hosts did offer an apology, but one wonders how such an issue could go unattended. On the bright side, the kitchen had all the necessary cookware and utensils for a cozy meal, and the free Wi-Fi was a handy touch. For those seeking value while maintaining some level of comfort, the Rose serves its purpose adequately, but just be sure to double-check those beds!
